Walking outside this morning I saw lots of blue sky with thin, wispy white clouds. I just had to thank the Lord for what I was seeing. Later, at the breakfast table as I began to say the blessing, I noticed all the brown tones in trees and shrubs and grass (in case you haven’t guessed, it’s winter at this writing). I couldn’t help but say, “Thank You for blue and white and brown.” It is a beautiful world we live in, created by a beautiful, loving God. The beauty of earth is but a dim reflection of God’s beauty, but it testifies that He exists, that He creates, that He loves, and that He is deserving of both our praise and our thankfulness.
